Job DetailsJob DetailsWe are looking for a dynamic and driven Permanent Project Manager for our Heavy Civil Construction division.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading Engineering firm, where you will be responsible for managing complex heavy civil construction projects.
This role requires a hands-on approach, with a focus on construction, project management, heavy civil, piping, structural, mechanical, concrete, and millwright tasks.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in delivering high-profile projects on time and within budget, demonstrating excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities Manage and oversee all aspects of heavy civil construction projects from inception to completion.
Develop and maintain project plans, including budgeting and scheduling.
Coordinate and supervise the work of the construction team, including contractors, engineers, and laborers.
Ensure all construction activities comply with safety regulations and quality standards.
Collaborate with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
Conduct site inspections and monitor progress to ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
Resolve any issues or delays that may impact project timelines or budgets.
Prepare and present project updates and progress reports to senior management and clients.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and innovation.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management within the heavy civil construction sector.
Demonstrated knowledge of construction, heavy civil, piping, structural, mechanical, concrete, and millwright tasks.
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time and within budget.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Familiarity with construction safety regulations and quality standards.
A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to different project sites as needed.
