Mill Accountant - Now Hiring
We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced accountant based out of one of our manufacturing operations. The Accountant, reporting to the Mill Manager, is a key part of the plant management team providing support for West Fraser finance and accounting systems, including accounts payable, payroll, and financial and operational reporting.

Here's What You'll Do:
n
- n
- Developing and collaborating with office staff and other mill personnel
- n
- Learn and develop a strong understanding of the various aspects of the mill to provide insight into areas of improvement and accounting processes
- n
- Support the timely and accurate reporting of financial, operational, and statistical data
- n
- Develop and maintain reporting of financial and non-financial key performance indicators
- n
- Support West Fraser accounting activities including accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting
- n
- Manage month-end close process and reporting, general ledger reconciliations, account analyses, etc.
- n
- Maintain adequate internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and SOX
- n
- Weekly cost reporting and forecasting
- n
- Inventory control and analysis
- n
- Ad-hoc assignments from mill management or other projects as assigned
- n
n
Here's What You'll Need:
n
- n
- 4-year degree in business, accounting, or finance or
- n
- 3
years experience in a similar role; preferable in a manufacturing environment - n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
- n
- Experience in Oracle financial system is a plus
- n
- Experience with SOX is preferred
- n
n
